About Maeve
As a child, I always felt different. Not smarter or more talented than other kids, just more knowing, as if I knew things that others didn't.
It took four decades for me to understand why. I am a child of our universe, and I feel energy. I can feel energy in a room, in the air, and most importantly in bodies, both in mine and in others.
My healing gift came to me in my mid-30s. Before that, I was myself running to doctors for help with this illness or that. My journey through illness gave me a unique understanding of why dis-ease manifests in the body, and how it is tied to our life journey.
Illness is not an end, it's a beginning. Behind every physical or mental challenge is the next chapter of our lives. Dis-ease shows up not to take us down but to challenge us. It asks us to face emotional blocks and fears, and to be mindful of our physical and mental bodies.
My Philosophy
Our bodies are made up of cells, and each cell vibrates with energy. When illness sets in the vibration of our cells changes. My work is designed to locate energy blocks in the body and get things moving again.
I came to my understanding of energy through physics. A deep fascination of space as a child led me in my adult years to fall in love with the science of the universe and the forces that power us all. In time I came to understand that the energy I feel is the same energy that science measures. Energy (or intuition) and science are two sides of the same coin. And when we work with them together - and not in separate, isolated worlds - we create one whole.
My Background
I am a self-taught intuitive. I honed my craft after years being a medical patient. As a child I suffered with nervousness and anxiety. As I grew up my body began to manifest auto-immune symptoms, including thyroid disease, acute hay-fever and sinusitis, and gastrointestinal disorders. I was treated with medicine and for years, traditional talk therapy. While I learned a lot, medicine only made me more ill, and talk therapy only took me so far. I felt strongly the answer to my issues lay inside my body and I began a journey to find alternative ways to live my life.
In the end I discovered energy medicine, and in time all my dis-ease subsided. On this journey I also discovered my ability to connect with spirit, as well as my gift for hands-on and distance energy healing. I come from a medical family, with my father, grandfather, uncles, cousins and brother all practicing physicians. I respect and honor western medicine and see it as a partner to energy work. Everything is connected - physical and spiritual healing modalities are not mutually exclusive.
